Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt prepared to express about his profound loss.

"Sufficient time has passed that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the movie, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without laughter".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a different piece, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to block the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A court order put a restriction on the files to prohibit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" pertaining to the probe.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a public database citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the tragedy, public figures shared different reactions.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making provocative statements that were met with immediate backlash by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his perspective to the detractors recently. Talking on his show, Rogan labeled the comments as "disappointing" and remarked they showed a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by suggesting that an adviser could have intervened when the choice to comment on the death was made.
