Barcelona Set to Play Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced they will play at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga two and a half years following their departure so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
